Emmelie de Forest, som i 2013 vandt det Europæiske Melodi Grand Prix med nummeret Only Teardrops, udkom i februar 2014 med et nyt nummer: Rainmaker. Sangen er den officielle sang for det Europæiske Melodi Grand 2014, og på finaleaftenen blev det fremført i en fænomenal udgave (iøvrigt indledt med en stump af Teardrops) med masser af sangere og dansere på den fantastiske scene i B&W Hallerne på refshaleøen. Emmelie har været inviteret til flere af de nationale grand prixer, blandt andet det tyske, for at optræde med Rainmaker. Sangen, der i mine ører lyder afrikansk inspireret, handler om at finde sammen og hjælpe hinanden.
